To motivate the nation in their Autumn garden tidy up projects, we worked with artist Nathan Wyburn to recreate the Mona Lisa using nothing but our hero Bosch leaf blower and thousands of fallen autumn leaves. The Mona Leafa was born!

With consumer research telling us that tidying the garden was the most satisfying household task for autumn, we knew it would resonate.

Achieving coverage in eight nationals & an editorial reach of 20 million

We smashed our KPIs with eight national and five consumer pieces of coverage, resulting in a 20 million editorial reach. 100% of coverage mentioned the leaf blower, which was key for B&Q. This included a wave of national titles including MailOnline, Metro print and online, Independent online, Mirror online, and Daily Star.

In addition, we landed it in broader titles that targeted homeowners and boosted talkability, including House Beautiful and Evening Standard amongst others.

We generated over 527 million opportunities for conusmers to see The Mona Leafa, and put smiles on the faces of homeowners across Britain, who would be shopping in subsequent weeks for autumn garden kit. We’re sure they wont forget B&Q or the Bosch leaf blower…
